Dates and locations have been set for AMTRA's upcoming winter workshops. These professional development opportunities are free for members and will be held at local schools. Elementary Teachers - Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Council Rock Primary School High School Teachers - Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Pittsford Mendon High School Middle School Teachers - Monday, February 4th, 2008 at East Irondequoit Middle School Doors will tenatively open at 4:00 PM and sessions will conclude around 7:00 PM. Pizza and soda will provided during each workshop. Check back soon for more information. Technology Mini-Conference: Saturday April 1, 2006, 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM "Technology is essential in teaching and learning mathematics; it influences the mathematics that is taught and enhances students' learning."  (NCTM, Principles and Standards for School Mathematics)  Come join us, and bring a colleague, at this conference highlighting the use of technology in the mathematics classroom.  The focus of the workshops is intended for grades 7-12.  The conference will be held Saturday April 1, 2006 from 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM at St. John Fisher College .  Melody DeRosa of Texas Instruments will be coordinating with her network of local mathematics teachers that are also TI presenters.  More Info & Registration Form
